what is this

Before you ask no i dont have a picture yet but will take one as soon as the sun comes up
But im trying to figure out what the silver box is on the left side of steering column on inside firewall. It has two plugs but one is unplugged i dont know what its for. Btw its a 85 burban 4x4

If it's finned, then it's probably the delay wiper module. If not, then it's probably either the ignition switch or the high beam switch.

It MIGHT be the cruise relay, if there is one. I have one on mine, an it looks like my old cruise wires go to it. I will look tomorrow.

Jims86 i belive your right. I traced the wires best i could and i think its the cruise relay

it has hookup for two plugs and the one that is plugged in is aftermarket. Possible the po did it. But the factory plug is just hanging. It will plug into the second spot but i cant tell that it makes a differance

Aftermarket horn relay???? Or a alarm relay ??? Just guessing tho I can't think of any other reasons to have a extra relay under dash

Yea thats wat im thinking. Its not a huge deal im just trying to figure everything on this truck out. Its had alot of hack job wiring done. Which makes it a pain to troubleshoot issues. But ill get there. Thanks everyone for there input
