Im having header clearance issues on the passenger side at the rear shackle bolt that goes through the spring on my k10. did you find headers that the collector goes past the shackle. mine hits the shackle bolt wear the flanges meet. i had to grind a bit off so it doesn't rub. im looking for new headers that clear.
my truck has a 6'' spring lift.

Here are the summit headers on my truck. It's close but they clear. I am calling BS on the statement that headers don't increase torque. Long tubes always increase torque in every build I've seen. Shorties and mid lengths usually cost some torque. They do add horsepower at the top end. I can't see how an exhaust manifold is good for making any extra power or torque. Yes, they require less maintenance, and last for a long time. They do crack and generally look like azz. The Hookers are nice, but costly. They copied the F-body and Vette manifolds that were on the early LS1's. I guess if you are only making what a stock 305 puts out headers may be a waste. If you put any better flowing head and or cam you are killing power with cast iron manifolds.

I only have experience with the flowtech and the summit long tube headers. The collector flanges on both were not past the shackle. I don't have a pic but my flowtech fit like the ones in John's pic above.

I've run a bunch of different headers. The only ones that I've had a clearance issue with the shackle was one basic model of Hedman. There is another basic model of Hedman that I run that does not rub the shackle.

I bought long headers and they hit the transmission on the passenger side. Now going with ram horns and hoping I can get a exhaust tube up to them with no issues.

You can put a rosebud tip on a cutting torch, heat the tubes to red hot, and move them to where you want them to be.
Let them cool, remove them and repaint.
