Not square body but close, GMT400. My nephew's truck has been sitting a few years and me and my brother decided to get it tuned up for him. We got the 350 in it back running and discovered milkshake oil. I called head gasket then from some other clues but my brother wanted to be optimistic. Changed oil and after several run cycles over the next few weeks it looked like everything sealed up. I'm on the road Saturday and got the message that we had milkshake again. I go out Sunday and we do compression check and #3 and 5 are completely dead. All the rest all read strong. We start pulling everything off to pull the drivers side head. First surprise, the bottom of the intake is cracked, directly below the TBI had a crack a good 4" long diagonally, no wonder we kept having gassy smelling oil. We hit a stall at that point, waiting on a puller for the power steering pump. Sitting around resting for when that shows up I kept seeing a very slow drip of water down the valley, thinking its from one of the water jackets I ignore it for a bit, then shine some light on it, there's a 3" long hairline crack in the block along the valley that's weeping water from the water jacket. We called 350 time of death at 12:30pm 4/6/2-25. Luckily we have another clunker truck the nephew can have.
