Changed out the Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W30 for a fresh batch. Had topped off the last oil change enough times to where I had maybe a quart of my spare 5 quart jug left although I did use a half quart of it in the 4Runner.

So, figured after roughly 1500 miles I would give her fresh and see if she drinks that as heavily.

Then decided to take her to Discount for a tire rotation. I figured that was my last one on these tires and I was going to go with Cooper AT3s. Nope - front left is worn out. So, she is getting 2 more Cooper Evolution M/Ts as I want to maximize my investment on the rears.

IE - I'm cheap.

Cleaned up hedder gasket surface on the heads. Noticed this plug is missing too. What is that a freeze plug?

Need to clean the distributor cap and rotor contacts. May get a whole new one later. The inside looks pretty corroded but ran and sounds good. Clean up the wires and holders too.

Is that where the temperature sensor for the gauge goes?

I think that’s your temp gauge.

Edit- Temp SENSOR. The gauge works better in the cluster in the cab.

Yeah that's right! Thanks, I didn't even think about that. Haha what a dummy. Been a long day today. I have one like that on both my trucks. Lol
I'm used to the Vortecs now, they have that one for the gauge and another one in the intake, below the thermostat, for the PCM. That one often acts up and then your truck runs rich.

Added an extra fuse block to clean up some of the added-on accessory wires that were connected to the original block.
