When we got my wife's Buick she was very hesitant because Buick's are for old people. I told her Buick is quality, that's why old people like them. Anyhow, went for a test drive on a Saturday, I was specific that we wanted to test drive a turbo model. Knowing it's 4 banger, it needs a turbo, and she knew how good my 2007 Forester is with it's turbocharged 4 banger. The salesman took us out, it had decent power but I could tell it wasn't a turbo car. I asked him if it was and he said it was. I was thinking this is gutless for a turbo car, but didn't say anything. My wife is very picky about dash light colors, white and red are okay, greens and blues give her headaches and mess with her eyes. She told them we would come back after sundown so she could see what the dash looked like. While she was checking that out I was reading the window sticker. No turbo, and I asked if this was the car we test drove. Yes, this is the car you test drove. You said it's a turbo car, it's not a turbo car, and I asked to test drive a turbo car. We didn't drive another that night, she still didn't want a Buick, she wanted something like her old Sentra, small, foreign, and something she could zip in and out of traffic in. We talked about it over the next couple days, Monday was a holiday and they were closed, so we went after work on Tuesday, and I made sure it was a turbo car this time. She did a couple spirited launches and drove it home that night...lol... She still wishes she could take it on mountain service roads and beat it up, and she does beat it up to some extent, but she has grown to love the Regal 2.0T.
