Drove it! Beautiful January day, sunny and highs around 60. Went to town for horse and dog food, a couple groceries, picked up dry cleaning and stopped at the ABC store. (For those outside VA or the USA, ABC is the state-run liquor store)

Tomorrow the Blazer goes to the paint and body shop to have the top surfaces of the bed redone. This is where the removable top rests and they get scratched and dinged from taking the top off and putting it back on. Plus, it looks like the truck was painted with the top on so the areas under the top are a slightly different shade. I took the top off the day after I got the Blazer and have no plans to put it back on.

And I swear I'm not a stalker lol @WFarm

Stayed at the two nearby hotels many times, and many mornings I drove into town to get fuel and food at the Apple Market.

My last speeding ticket was in that town too. Still mad about that one. I was minding my own business obeying all traffic laws. That d-bag just saw my Ohio plate and knew I wasn't going to fight it in court.

Lol, yep. I haven't been into that one a whole bunch of times, but I recognized it. Now the one over in Blackstone, I could most definitely pick that one from a lineup easy peasy, haha.

Yep solid state so I can mount it wherever
I hope you read the instructions, because most modern solid state proportional units still call for them to be mounted level in at least one axis. The software design is somewhat lacking and it makes it MUCH easier to design the solid state algorithms if they are constrained. I highly recommend a RedArc unit. I went from a Tekonsha Prodigy(solid state but still calls out mounting as level as possible horizontally) to a RedArc Liberty unit and it is night and day better. You only need to mount a small dial wherever is convenient and you mount the controller itself in any orientation hidden up under the dash. It will learn the orientation as you drive around.

Never mind on my previous post. I looked it up and it is a timed unit, not a solid state proportional. Funny enough, it is a rebranded Tekonsha unit according to the Reese website.

Yes one advantage is being able to mount it conveniently within my reach my main priority was being affordable and have a manual lever to apply just the trailer brakes in case trailer sways and something better than nothing type of deal and good reviews on that unit

Made some progress on the Blazer. A lot of odds and ends; including wheel tubs, battery hold downs, tail light lenses, filler neck cover, tailgate straps, door strikers, but mainly driver side inner/outer rocker and floor. Body work's been a real bugger so far but I'll beat it. . . don't worry.

The point is to get her dulled up enough to take her to town, get it ironed out to reliability and sell it for as much as I can. First Square that I'd have sold but it was meant to be a flip from day one (while enjoying it occasionally) to make money for the other Square Body projects. Priorities I suppose. Anyone interested in buying such a rig late this year that lives near me, let me know haha

looked at the drivers tank yesterday just to study and see what I could find. Found a rusty pin hole in the back corner. I will try to post photos soon. That tank has to go so I want to drop it while trouble shooting the passenger tank that kind of works, examine the parts and then order new while the old are out.

@WFarm , @Ajax19 @Tank6x2 , @fofiddyfo a couple of questions before I start:
1.) Would it be ok for the system/engine if I were to need to drive the truck with one tank out? The switching valve is and will remain in right side mode. I am only asking because I assume the switch being on the other tank will keep it closed off from letting fuel out on the drivers side. Since there is a pinhole and there was not much left in the tank the last I used it I am leaning on it being 99% empty.
2.) Should I cap the lines with line plugs or finger condom type stoppers?
3.) I should paint the tank. Should I sand it and then paint or just hit with black rattle can or Rustproofing paint ?

Yes you can still drive with one tank just cap the lines to keep dirt out and I would say paint it would be good time for that
