Thank you!Love the wheels.
Thank you sir! I’ve been thinking of doing some YouTube on this old girl anyways. That’s got to be just about the best feeling! Knowing you you made that thing run again!
The only way I know how to get a video on here is uploading it on YouTube and putting the link on you post. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
I appreciate ya looking! Those pictures are awesome, I wish we had more old architecture around hereLet the meds clear from my brain, and took the truck out for a cruise. Turns out that a bench seat is really comfy to slide in and out of after knee surgery.
The streets were quiet and empty this morning- always wanted to get a picture in front of the old city hall building, it was on my list. I also cruised over to the Chevy dealership to get a picture there too, but I guess business is too good right now, couldn’t even get close to the sign.

After that, I cruised through all the O’Reillys to see if they had the holiday M2 squarebody release, no one had any. After that, I went back to Walmart to see if they had that 1:24 M2 for @TotalyHucked but no dice there either. Oh, well- beautiful morning for a drive and I can’t get over how nice and drivable my truck is nowadays.
Sometimes inspecting cleaning and preventing maintenance is all you need. The cover looks real good and you didn’t paint it red or neon so that’s a plus !It’s not perfect but it’s better than what it was… and I had fun!
I will be painting the bolts also, just haven’t got the wire wheel spinning yet.
It may be just me, but I like the fasteners to stand out. Unless it’s a special fastener I’ll stop by Valley Fastener and get stainless replacements. Not factory correct, but love the look! It’s not perfect but it’s better than what it was… and I had fun!

That looks great! Maybe if I can find some hardware at a local parts store I’ll go that route. I don’t want to wait for shipping because I want to get it back on the road as soon as possible. It may be just me, but I like the fasteners to stand out. If you don’t have a local supplier for fasteners you can assemble with the old ones, then order the SS equivalents and replace them later, one at a time. That looks great! Never thought of doing it one at a time. Thanks for the tip!If you don’t have a local supplier for fasteners you can assemble with the old ones, then order the SS equivalents and replace them later, one at a time.
Were the tires you found new?Started to clean up the 75 GMC and seats are near perfect, found a few tools and owners manual also found these clip in tie downs pretty cool, neighbor said I could use his dumpster to clean out the bed(might find some goodies under the palms I'm hoping the air cleaner is in there), the carpet is in really good shape too just a few faded spots this truck has factory a/c unlike my 83 so that will be nice for the summer it turns out it has 16.5" wheels I did find tires but might swap them for 16" wheels
