Is that Rino liner on your bed walls? Looks great!
Thanks! Yes I had it Rhinoed in early October. I debated about whether to paint or line it, I am very happy with the outcome.

TIME-SERT 7/16-14 SAE Thread Repair Kit https://a.co/d/32d6sQd
These will be better than new there's a guy on YT that I recommended these he used then on his turbo build with Chinese heads and they were pulling out a few studs I have used them a few times on Hondas for the timing belt tensioner that has a bold just going into the soft aluminum block these are about as good as you can get another redneck option I thought of just give her a few tacks welds heat the head with a torch and send it lol just need to use high nickel flux core
Thanks for your response man! But, the thing is, I don’t have screw in studs, I just have old school press-in that stock SBCs have. This looks like it’s a thread repair kit? Or is it something for cutting in NEW threads? Either way that’s pretty cool.

Oil change day, and I got the deeper offset Halibrands on the front. I had no idea that just a little more dish would make such a difference!

cost/labor hows that work out compared to a reputable builder like Redhead? Nothing meant quality wise. Getting at, should this be something everyone should start doing themselves with/without a spare.

I don't know. This is the first one I have done. The seal kit with bearings was 42 bucks. I've got about 3 hours into break down and cleaning. Still have to assemble. 300+295 core charge. Tax and shipping both ways. So roughly 800 if you don't have a core.

After doing some items on the honey do list I was able to get the truck painted.... well the base color painted. I still need to do the other color for the rockers and the cab roof. This is GM Medium Sage Green from 2003 Avalanches and other vehicles. The roof and rockers are going with GM Covert Tan that was used in 1972 on muscle cars and such.

with the silver and chrome I think it should be a good looking truck. When deciding colors i kind of ran through all my vehicles in my past I have never had a green truck... finding a green that I liked was challenging :)

Put in an LMC heater switch. Its a 2 speed switch, not the 3 speed one I took out.
Resealing the heater fan tower today.

I can't wait to see this truck when the paint is done. Looking good. The green is an excellent one. Those years were good looking paint.

I agree with @JamesSam that the color is killer. I love a nice green.
