I looked up Chevy 377 and found a cool article about the aluminum chevy v8 that wasn't so great. What is a 377, a 350 bored 0.020 over?Swapped out the front signal/parking lights to orange and cleaned up under the hoodYou must be registered for see images attach

No it's the coil that came with the Pertronix ignition box and an MSD cap for an external coil on an HEI distributor. The ignition box is mounted inside spaced off the heater box. Tried to hide all that best I could without drilling any new holes in the firewall.Lookin good
Are you using a points style distributor?
I noticed the coil.
Blueprint lists it as a 383 but the paperwork they sent says it's actually 4" bore (new block) and 3.75 stroke=376.9. Close enough lolI looked up Chevy 377 and found a cool article about the aluminum chevy v8 that wasn't so great. What is a 377, a 350 bored 0.020 over?
EDIT: 377 = 400 block with 350 crank. Supposed to be a high revving engine
Thanks! The body is full of rust in all the normal squarebody areas. I just can't bring myself to do any bodywork on it, I'm more of a rust/patina kind of guy.@Rustisbest Your truck is beautiful Matt!
Do you have the PCV hooked up? Do you have the updated valve cover on it? I ended up 3.5qts low not long ago because of the PCV systemadded a quart of Rotella 15w-40 to the rebuilt LS after ~1,000 miles. Worry is....where did it go. No leaks so it must be burning it.
Only had it up to ~4k RPM's....surely the rings are seated by now.
I have it hooked up with a catch can. I either have the 2nd or 3rd version of the valve covers. I'm going to get a better catch can, this one is one of the $25 models lol.Do you have the PCV hooked up? Do you have the updated valve cover on it?
