VHT for the covers? Mine are holding up great so far (4 months). The rustoleum job I did before didn't last 6 months before flaking off.
I honestly don’t remember what brand I used the first time. I used rustoleum high temp paint this time. I hope it lasts

I think it's a mixed bag with spray paint. Overall, I've had good luck with Rustoleum Chevy Orange. VHT in the 90's seemed like way better stuff than what they sell now.

But now I need to get another one for the passenger side, and either repaint the black strip on the rears or get new ones.

Had to get a new alt belt for the 84. Also bought new plugs for the 82. The old belt was absolutely the smallest one you could get. I barley got it off. So I bought one 2 sizes bigger because the alternator was as far down as you could go and I had plenty of adjustment in it. It was too small also. So I went 4 sizes bigger and now it's right as the alternator is much farther up. Whata PIA. Lol

Cleaned up the 84's engine bay a little bit. Then moved the 82 to the side of the garage so I have more room in the driveway.

After years of searching, the Grille Gods smiled upon me and sent the NOS ‘84 GMC Grille. All painted up and detailed. Tomorrow the Parking lamp pods and install.

Got the exhaust buttoned up on the 76. I may pull (which is why I used V-bands) the side pipes off at some point and polish them up. Good enough for now.

New bearings and seals in my friends NP208 that is in his 75 K5. Chain and other internals were in good shape.

Got it reinstalled in the Blazer last night.

More sanding on hood and both fenders after I fixed several dents. I also scraped the paint off the tailgate.

LOL...I read standing on hood, and then looked at the photo and realized you meant sanding on hood, even though it's a pic of the tailgate...lol...

Used some Corroseal on frame parts under the truck. I like this stuff. Instant black. No scraping and sanding. Too old for that crap now days.

Also mocked up one of the fenders trying to get some measurements. Think I may just level the back but hard to tell just yet. Want to go kind of old school with some 15" wheels and wider tires.
