Ok for those wondering, the defrost vents from a 81 and above will fit in a older dash pad!! The run about $16.50 apiece. And you can save some cash by having your old metal shell re-upholstered. Vents install just had to clean up the slots and carefully file the 4 corners round.

Finally got the driver’s seat mounted enough to take it for a ride at lunch. Feels good overall, I think I’m gonna redrill the floor bracket to move it 1” further toward the console, I’m about 1” offset from centered up on the wheel toward the door. Feels good though

I have 500 miles on my swap, working the kinks out. Picked up a free canopy to refurbish, installed a few interior mods including the stereo, floor shifter, cupholders & ashtray switch panel. It's coming along nicely!
Looks good! I see a 4x4 button, did you use a pushbutton transfer case?

Finished up the power steering today, and put a timing mark cover on the harmonic balancer. Fired it up to bleed the system and played some Hot For Teacher through the exhaust for the neighbors.
I see you are using the edelbrock AVS, I just converted my 87 TBI to carb and using the same setup with an edelbroock air gap manifold. Which of the 2 front small vacuum ports did you use for your dist. vacuum advance? Did you use one for the charcoal canister as well? I see your 3/8 port in front is capped, are you running a pcv valve?
Lastly, when you first set it up and closed the air fuel mixture screws, how many turns did you open them back up?
