Washed her up yesterday. Packed all my supplies, did a fluid check and walk around and am headed to my cousins house in NC right now. Waking up to be in the line on time for the C10 Fall Revival tomorrow morning.

How big you going with it?

for now just a BTR torque cam. Nothing special. May install take the larger injectors with me when I get it dyno'd. See if it's worth it. Maybe headers in near future. lol mainly stock though.

When the first one was installed, I was happy....then it just seemed to go down hill after 3 years.

Also the machine shop said there was no charge to bore the cylinders (included in the $350 to clean/hone cylinders/cam bearings and a few other things). I thought what??? I thought it was like $75 per cylinder to bore. He said you get into more money when the crank journals need bored.

Was half tempted to tell him to bore it 20 over at that point.

In the last couple days..........
Got the underside of the hood cleaned and painted for the new insulation pad.
Got the bed back on thanks to a few buddies.
Bolted bed in. Cleaned and painted the tailgate trunnion parts and reassembled.
Put tailgate on.
A buddy came by and helped me sight in, measure and drill holes in frame/brackets for the new "sport" bumper.
Looks like a whole truck again.........

Got the whole suburban roof covered with dynamat. All I gotta say is I'd rather be busting rivets out of frames lolol. What a pain in the ass, the roof braces made it a slight challenge, more annoying than anything. I thought I was doing the whole roof in one night...HAHA what an IDIOT! I got halfway through the first sheet and my arms were dyin lol. I finished two the first night, did one sheet quick another night, then I just did the last two sheets last night.

24x48 is the perfect size, unfortunately you can only get that size in a 9 sheet pack. 5 sheets almost perfectly covered the entire roof. If I woulda taken more time to get minimal overlap it would have been perfect, but no worries.

Before this, any kind of rainstorm it was SO loud inside, couldn't have a normal conversation. Now it's easy to have a normal conversation in a downpour. Huge difference in sound and temp. I gained decibels(sound system) and i lowered decibles(ambient noise). Single layer roofs are the devil. I hope I never have to build another suburban again lol. If I do itll be a barn door.
