Got the new ceramic connectors installed on the top two lights and wired up the halo lights to run off the running or parking lights.

Had to put the old sealed beam back because the lights wouldn't work with it unhooked. As long as I can get it inspected I'll figure out the bottom two later.

I decided it was time for some cleaning. Used some 150gt sandpaper and sanded the top part of the door panels where it was really faded, and softened some of the scratches, then i magic sponged some of the stains off, and finshed them with some special orange, orange oil furniture cleaner/polish. Looks great, and smells great.

Also took my old faded, stained, shrunken dash mat off, and said screw it, looks better without. Used some goo-gone to take the velcro pads off, and i washed and polished the whole dash. Couple coats of that special orange. Looks great i think. Im just going to leave it that way now.

That looks way better! And the fact it cracked very straight and almost symmetrical is even better

Beautiful evening for a Cruise In! Dusted the truck off after a day of Flea Markets and hauling horse feed and bedding and headed to a local event. Lots of really nice cars but my Square was the best! (OK, I may be a tad partial, lol)

Also took the gauge cluster apart to fix 2 burnt bulbs and bad gauge, and while i was in there, took it out and apart, and cleaned everything.
Reassembled, polished the lenses, cleaned the bezel. Also cleaned and oiled the wheel, column, and shift knob.

While i was in there, i installed my new, foil tape lined, gauge light reflector. Hopefully that'll make the gauges brighter.

Looking a little better in there...

Thank you.

Compressed air.
I charged the tank to full, then cranked the regulator open all the way, so had 150psi at a blast, and i used a blaster tip with a very small hole. They were mainly dusty. I wasnt going to risk going in there with a rag and smudging everything.

Found and fixed two substantial vacuum leaks when replacing vacuum hoses. It actually made things worse, but not right away. I think the extra vacuum may have caused the already compromised vacuum advance can to fail. It wouldn't hold vacuum when pumped up with the vacuum pump, and before the test drive the engine ran way smoother than it has in a very long time. A new 1852 can will be in today.

Guess these pointers on the gear selectors break off easy . Used a pen top to replace an otherwise working part .
