Was under the truck today and noticed I'm missing a bolt on the trans crossmember. NP208 w/2006 4l60E adapter, anyone know what size it is by chance? Would like to stop at the hardware store without removing the other one.

Not finding one in my spare bolt bin.

Thx guys
3/8 x 1-3/4 or 2 if you have the spacer. I'm almost positive

Absolutely nothing but start it every couple of days. Lol

I need to get a smaller ps belt and replace the steering box seals. But procrastination is my thing. Lol

ALRIGHTY. The parts suburban wars continued today. KEEP IN MIND, THIS IS A PARTS TRUCK. The rust is far too much. For brief history: i bought this rig a year ago now, been sitting for like 10 years prior to that. Very complete, but very rusted. Especially the frame. Never ran, never really tried. Being it reeked of turpentine and had a hole in the fuel tank, figured i'd get a new tank, sending unit and fuel pump (TBI) instead of putting it in the system. I did this last winter and tried to start it and the fuel pump never worked. So i replaced the firewall relay hoping it was the easy way out. Relay now works but still now power. It was cold, so i put it off for a bit. Keep in mind i've already pillaged this rig in numerous ways for the Jimmy project, including things like important ground straps. So i had installed 3 recently and now my power windows work and i was able to get my rear power window up. This was terrible because the latches were seized and i had to screw with the little electrical box it has to make contact with to show it's shut to work (i think that's how that works, i'm not a power window guy) SO that was a huge win getting that all sealed up normal. Then i pulled out the sending unit and checked the fuel pump and connections. Connections were great, new fuel still was great, etc. Tested the fuel pump on a battery on my bench and it worked. Put it back in the tank and ran it on a battery and it worked, but didn't push any fuel? Plugged the truck back into the sending unit plug and turned the key and it didn't turn on. Now i had checked this with a test light and it worked, but i only checked one. Stupid me was under the impression one wire in the plug was power and the other ground. I know, i'm an idiot. One is fuel level, and the other is for the fuel pump. The ground is completely separate on the unit. So i jumped the tan and white wire from the relay to the plug and it activates the fuel pump, but i don't feel like its running as long as it should. My dad's TBI '87 dump truck fuel pump relay runs a bit. Put more fuel in it and cranked and cranked to no avail. Perhaps the other wire needs replaced too. Chances are if one is bad in the harness then others are too. Other being the orange one from relay to plug. Perhaps i'll change on that one tomorrow and see if that works.

P.S. the grille was free

Then my dad showed up and installed an electric fuel pump inline on the '74 to help it out a bit. Got it running again in order to move it around if need be, truck is still a fire hazard due to previous owner's stupidity. Also felt the need to do a burnout in my garage with it. The way he turned those duals, that 462 has got some serious juice. Can't wait to get around to that one.

I got life out of the way & hit the truck again today. Got the tank mounted, wires run & loomed & all tucked away. Still like the trigger wire & switch on wire. Nobody around here has in stock a hose reducer so it will take a day to get that in. The overflow nipples are 3\8 & the radiator nip is 5\16. Power steering is filled. So far 1 1\2 gal of antifreeze & 1 1\2 gal of distilled water has been added. Once the tank is connected & the fans operational, I'll purge the air & top the rad & add to the tranny.

I was tired of looking at the krylon painted core support, so I stopped it to bare metal primed and sanded and p[ainted low gloss black from Eastwood. Cost me about $50 and a few hours but I think it came out great and isnt junk aftermarket!

How did you wire them? Looks like you are running an L31 with an 0411 conversion? Did you wire them with the three relays like a stock 2007+ silverado? The stock three relay system runs both fans for both high and low speed, but low speed runs the fans in series and high speed has them running parallel.

Cranked it up yesterday since it hasn't run in a couple weeks. Let her get warm and gave her a few good revs. Then shut her back down and went home. But I did order the Nu-Relics power window kit yesterday too, so hopefully here soon she'll be functional again!

Regrettably, not. Picking up the reducer I had to order today along with some wir loom for the 2 remaining wires. Hopefully Friday I can finish up before we head off to see the grandson Saturday. Embarrassing how something so simple has taken so long.
