I have that cheap a$$ Pittsburg tap set, the pos. Not great, but I guess ya get what you pay for, haha.
It's done the job for me a few times, but it died a horible death the last time I used it.

It could handle the plastic, so there is that.:)

I think it's lifetime warranty according to the box. Now that may be the lifetime of a fly, but still lifetime!

I liken it to a can of fix a flat. Better than nothing but a 1 time use product.

Well the heat was to bad today, got a lot done. Got the 2WD Blazer out, swept the shop, mopped the shop....Twice. Finally got the 4X4 in the Shop...Let the fun begin...

I had my windshield tinted a while back with some 95% nano ceramic I believe.

Cost $160. Dude said it was supposed to block 85% UV, blah, blah, blah.

Bottom line, do it. Worth every penny. No longer feel the sun baking my through the windshield. Instantly noticed AC worked better.

As soon as I get my windshield and back glass replaced, I'm doing the same thing. Ceramic 20% all around and 55% on the windshield. I've never had it but my buddy's black Duramax doesn't get near as hot inside as my white Z71 with cheap tint

Took the rest of the frontend off, checked the frame for cracks...(not cracked) changed the steering box, and started powder coating a few items

Getting ready for paint July 11th. Ordered a new tailgate and handle. Sanding and more sanding!
Doesn't seem like it will ever end...does it.

Rebuilt my steering box. This is almost not worth mentioning.....you fellas do this in your sleep. I never did one. Watched a couple vids and after reading the official service manual (thanks Keith), figured the video makers cut some corners. All by the book, works smooth and tight (thats what she said). Cleaned and polished the chromed parts on a buffing wheel. New teflon wipers, seals, bearings, O-rings and synthetic PS fluid throughout. Now to find new PS lines. None of the "new" replacements look anything like my originals.

I just watched a video on rebuilding a Saginaw gear box...thought of doing one myself...
Only issues I had really was that the rebuild kit was missing 3 o-rings and the new lock nut was the wrong thread, and then getting the ball bearings back in. I cheated a tad with the position of the piston (to be able to get my fingers inside with the last 8 bearings in the bridge). The piston with new teflon bands was a PITA to get in without damaging the bands - otherwise, it wasn't bad.

Mine was full of shrapnel from a previous pump failure. All cleaned up nicely though.

The OE manual was alot of help also. I think Keith uploaded it. If you cant find it, say so and I'll post them.
