Decided to enjoy all of the suspension work and new tires I just installed so the wife, the boy and I drove it around most of the day. We visited friends, went out for lunch, picked up some buffalo meat...

Snapped a pic of it with the Amite River in the background.

Lol..that's where we were aiming to get to was our midwife. Thank you, HE definitely showers the blessings!

Damn, you've got my story beat! While I delivered our daughter before the midwife arrived, it was just in the house. In the truck though, that adds even more pizzazz, lol.

I had just worked a double and was in a sound sleep when my ex yelled for me to come quick. 5 min later and half asleep I delivered my daughter in an upstairs apartment bathroom. I got her and the little one all bundled together and in a lawn chair for the EMT's to easily carry out and down the steps. lol

Have been doing a lot of little finishing touches to the interior while the body man is wrestling my bed. I got around to installing the " heavy duty floor mat " from lmc. It requires quite a bit of trimming side to side, and up on the firewall. This thing is STIFF! Pain in the a$$ to get in but worth the effort imho.

I was waiting for this lol..I'm not dead set on an LS but have seen several on gregslist recently and got me thinking..friends and fam say to keep beefing what I have up.
LS swap was the best thing I ever did to my truck. Tons of power, fires right up every time and I still knock down 22mpg every roadtrip. And that’s with a healthy cam, 3000 stall and a 3.90 gear. I LOVE mine

Don't look like much. But got the remaining wet sanding and polishing done on everything but the hood yesterday.
Truck is officially ready to be re-assembled!
Note to self (and others). In my patchwork painting process, I left myself nasty paint lines between the 2 colors on the cab. No problem on the bottom as it will have the chrome trim over it. The top line though, would have showed through the pinstripe. After pondering how to knock down that ridge of clearcoat without damaging any of the other finish, I bought a roll of magnetic strip, an inch wide. Was able to lay that down on the body as a template to run a very thin sanding block off of. Worked great. Cost me $11 at Amazon and another few hrs of sanding, but no damage to the finished areas.

Haven't done anything to it lately. My wife is having to drive it around while I fix her 2011 Suburban transmission. 6L80 cracked the 1-2-3-4 piston during normal driving and lost all forward gears...
