I ran it out of fuel the other day. Went last Saturday to the place that sells the 110 at the pump, "out of order" bags over the handle, they say they're getting a delivery this week. I've got just under a 1/4 tank on the auto meter fuel gauge so I think "I can take it for a little cruise around town and be fine" needless to say, it was not fine. Coming around the last curve before getting back into town (we're talking like a 6ish mile ride) and I feel the engine get soft and flutter. gas gauge still above "E" annnnnd it dies. Pull over and open the hood, sure enough fuel filter is dry as a bone. Called the wife to bring a can from the house to get it home. She thought I was joking! So now I know where empty is on the gauge, and more reason to fix that passenger tank and get the tank selector valve working this year at some point so I can get back to 40 gallons of capacity. Lol

Yep, nothing can give you the warm fuzzies like running a tank out of gas and just leaning over, flip a switch, and catching an extra 20 gallons!!!

Lol nothing makes you feel dumber than running out of gas, thinking you are all smart and switching over, then realizing you are out of gas in two tanks lol

Yeah, I've done BOTH of these and the warm fuzzies get cold in a hurry and dumbness sets in......when it happens in the above order

Been working on my instrument cluster lately. Still having issues with the gauges, but decided while I was in there, I'd change out the incandescent bulbs to dimmable LEDs. Worked like a charm, and I can see my broken guages now!!

Compared to what most of you guys are getting done.......... it's a small thing.
Taped off and repainted the fender badges. Small steps !
(The tabs on back of the badges were broken, someone had put the screws in there, but it works) Saved about $100 for new ones.

Got more done! The weather has been fin my favor. @Grit dog have you ever applied primer directly to a freshly blasted panel or is it wise to take the white off? I know it needs to be cleaned so I probably answered my own question!

Idk, I’m not too familiar with sandblasted surfaces except in like industrial applications and solvent cleaning the blasted surface is still necessary.
Can’t imagine anymore than a wipe down with prep solvent is needed before priming?

Today i replaced my tie rods due to play, now tight as a button. My floor pans came in, along with my passenger rocker. Also sanded the doors down after being blasted (they were supposed to sand and epoxy but didn't) and i've pulled off the cowl panel/screen and wiper arms; deep cleaned all the years of dirt and debris. Slowly but surely.

So after getting a piece of metal in my eye while working on my sisters car, I went to the ER to get it checked out. They said that it was no big deal if it doesn't hurt real bad.

The doctor insisted on trying to take it out though, then he proceeded to accidently stab me in the eye with a needle.

Now I they want me to wear an eye patch and put drops in every hour for the next couple weeks.

So after a $750 deductible to get stabbed in the eye, Its 2 am, I don't have my glasses, I'm in a **** load of pain, and to top everything off, O'l Yeller won't turn over, the starter spun, but the solenoid didn't engage it.

So I had to roll start the damn thing, and drive home mostly blind.
