I got up bug free so started cleaning under the hood. Nevr-dulled the shiny stuff and ArmorAll wiped the hoses & outside of drive belt. The wax job under the hood is still holding up so just damp wiped it. Started getting so darn muggy that I was spending more time wiping all the sweat up. Will wrap it up once it cools down.

While still sweaty I pulled the front shocks. Yo Reilly’s will have them for me around 4pm they say.

Going back with Monroe. Bell Tech would hold up to the extra weight I’m carrying.

Which parts in the picture are you looking for? You have an auto-locking hub pictured there, like what was optional in the 80's. Parts for them are not available.

May be hard to see, sorry, but the bottom one idk what the technical name is but it's a small ring with ball bearings on it and the top on is a thickish dust ring hiding behind the spindle. Both are split and i assume the other side will be also

There is a place in San Diego that use to have all kinds of hard to find parts for 4x4s. Check our Border Auto Parts...They are in Spring Valley, Ca. If they don't have the parts they can probably tell you where to get them.

thank you!

Picked up the shocks. Pulled one out of the box to look at for motivation. But it’s hotter now than it was earlier and with the light rain, it’s like a sauna in the garage. Will open the other one early in the AM and look at both of them for twice the motivation.

What is their part number for those?

I have the part number 34824 that were replaced by the PO. Thinking about maybe replacing them. They were replaced about 6 or 7 years ago. Not very happy with them.

As mentioned above, i'm currently do my front hubs on the Jimmy, (4 wheel all wheel drive) and little things like a small ring and the dust rings need replaced. Can't find them ANYWHERE! Anybody know where i can get some more specific pieces?

Have you figured out what front axle you have? There are some clues on the pumpkin and axle. I got parts from several different sites one being, https://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/
There are a host of others but you need to identify exactly what you have. I got my spindles off of Amazon and saved a $100 each, only because I knew what I needed! You can look at my build thread The pic's below are from June 2019. I had to waiting a long time for an OEM axle from Dana

It’s one muggy day with the showers around. Got the shocks mounted. No pics. Started the cleaning.

I got more than I thought. Didn’t have to use the 1st bottle so that saved me some time. Everything has the final wax except for the roof and tail gate. Still need the wheels and tires done. Even tho the sun is kinda shining, it’s still spitting rain so just took a pic in the garage.
