Got the truck pulled into the shop after removing the bed and cleaning up the back end with the pressure washer.

The removed the rear end and leaf springs. Got the rear end completely disassembled and cleaned up. It will be getting a full rebuild including all bearings, brakes, hardware, and a Yukon Grizzly locker.

This thing was completely filthy and lots of metal shavings in the oil... not sure why it had so much metal. Took a solid 2 hours of scraping to get all the caked oil and dirt off the outside of the case.

Grizzly locker..... thank you sir for bumping grizzly haha

Been busy, but managed to get some stuff done recently. Properly installed my choke, and finally got my extended brake lines on! 24 inch braided stainless steel, much better and can turn fully without stretching them. And got my ladder rack on. Looking like a work truck now.

I went and looked at it sitting in storage. Went junkyard hunting and was successful in locating passenger side filler neck complete with mounting brackets with straps! Too bad the tank was a 20 gal or I would have taken it.

Haha, I thought you'd like that. One happened to pop up for sale locally and I got the brand new locker and axle rebuild kit for a steal, just couldn't say no for the price. The rear end needed a rebuild and some kind of traction device anyways since it will be getting a little bit hotter 350 for now and the big boy 454 later this year.

Cleaned & treated the vinyl and spot cleaned the carpet from tracking in grime at work. Pulled the CD case out of the glove box and reorganized & knocked the dust off the case.

The clouds are clearing so I’ll back out of the garage after a quick recouping nap and get some shots in the natural light.

Got a good nap in. Now my body is aching. Will either have to start earlier next year or hire it out. Anyhow, pulled out outside for a few more pics to shove down your eyeballs. Since I went thu all of this to entice people to look at her at the cruise-in. Constructive criticism welcome.

This is the last thing to do...add this to the tank. Can’t run a big cruise without it.

You can keep on posting photos of your truck.
I keep saving them for screen backgrounds.

It is a beautiful thing sir.
Good work on shining it up.
You should have no issues at all drawing a crowd.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the words. I always keep her clean, but nothing on this level. Luckily it’s just once a year I can make a showing for the host town.
