This is what I'm thinking. A new one is 25 bucks. I'll get a new one.
Personal experience if you blow a line and the valve snaps to either side, after repair i usually refill the mc and push the pedal as hard as possible till it snapped back over. Sometimes took a few good pushes. Maybe wrong but worked...

Why? What in the hell made ya do this...if ya thought it would be easy, why would you slam on an system that usually is operating around 1500psi. What were you hoping to get outta this lil experiment?
I have so many questions about this lol


I was driving home and this guy pulled out in the intersection when I was going about 50. Had to slam on the brakes. When I did I felt the rear cylinders go in the pedal. Limped it home 12 miles.

So I wanted to see if the rear was getting fluid on the square so pushed the brakes. It's that simple. Lol

Man, it is, had been repainted probably 15-20yrs ago. Customer who brought it in just turned 50 and his wife surprised him with it. Which is pretty fuxkin cool of her...I’m just glad my girl knows that if she was to bring a truck home it’s gonna be a 2wd, shortbed, big window truck

Haha she sounds like a keeper!

Mine would probably say its her turn to bring a project car home and snag a Euro Vert lmfao.

Absolutely is. Been going back n forth with a local dude selling a ‘57 GMC 100 that she wants as her project truck...if that ain’t keeper material than idk what is

Dude you should see the wiring on this 78 I’m working on. Let’s set aside the fact it has no rust, and it has metallic bronze under flat black rattle can paint, and a 502, the “wiring” that the previous owner did is absolutely absurd. Deleted the turn signal switch connector, and spliced in all the same color wires. The aftermarket tach wiring was also a mess, white was running into the hot end of a fuse, the ground was jammed into another blade connector, and the brown leading to the hei was def not brown but 3 pieces of red/green/black. I don’t even wanna tell ya about the fuel tank selector switch wiring


That is terrible eeeeeeek
That makes me cringe

Wanting to build a ratty hotrod c10,
My 502, holley efi, and th400 with a strong 10 bolt rear i build with a tru trac, or duragrip and yukon oversized shafts.

Eyeing the 73-78 trucks


Currently have an offer out there for a 77 c10 with a i6 and i asume, th350.

Had to pull the bench seat and repair the broken wire that interconnects the right and left latch which allow the seat to move forwards and backwards. I must have snapped it when I reinstalled it after installing the new seat belts. I used wire that's a heavier gauge than the original stuff. I also ran two wires instead of one, and twisted them together so there's no way they'll break again while I'm on this planet.

You know, I've never given any thought to improving the durability of that setup. But now I am, lol. A length of all-thread and a couple rod ends would be the ultimate beef :hmm:

Redoing the wire actually made the seat move better. Before the repair the passenger side would never move as well as the driver side. It is a noticeable difference now.

The wife really did me a solid and let me spend all day on the truck. Sound deadening foam and rubber flooring, and new front leaf springs. It’s insane how much quieter it is now. Gotta get the back evened out now that the front is a bit

Got less than planned done, but still a decent amount. Replaced the valve cover gaskets and adjusted the valves to zero lash. Removed the last ac bracket off the engine, until I put it all back on later this year. Changed belts, tightened down the power steering pump and the loose lines, and added a new air cleaner. Sparkplug wires tomorrow. Next week plan to do the oil pan or exhaust.
