I hate the wheel wells on these trucks. My truck is almost dead nuts level (or was before the LS swap. All aluminum motor now so I’m gonna have to choo the springs again) but looks like it’s leaning. Gonna run a taller tire in the rear to make a touch of rake when I get new wheels

Left the shop after all the work for Lafayette and truck overheated big time. Air in the system or some ****. AAA’d the bastard back to the shop.
You all like naming your rides with affection and pride. Naming my truck has been difficult because nothing seems to fit. I’m close...

I totally forgot.... i have probably about 3-500 pounds worth of **** in the back of the truck also.... a bunch of tools, a load of firewood, and a bunch of other misc items...

Jeez lol how could i have forgotten??

Just moved mine up in the driveway. It's in the 30's and rainy here. I don't work on it in the cold and rainy weather. Which seems to be January and February here in Texas.

Well, today was a good day.
1. Changed out the thermostat
2. Filled the radiator, motor running, cap off
3. Temp went up quickly and antifreeze rolled out
4. BURP!
5. Temp went back down to 195 (Thermostat) and topped off with another half gallon of antifreeze
6. Took it out and romped it around (junk yard tune up), 60# oil pressure, all good as far as I know. No antifreeze in the oil and no oil in the antifreeze.

This truck is being cold hearted, hard to trust, misbehaving, and high maintenance.
I think I’m going with “Cold Red”.

Got a Gen 1 light on the CUCV driving hone from work the other night. Figured I would pull the alternator today and take it to the rebuilder. Went to start it up to move it, and no Gen 1 light, light should come on when key is turned on. Did some troubleshooting, heater fan fuse blown, change fuse, all is good. Damm CUCV draws power from the heater fan circuit to energize the alternator! Now I have to figure out why I blew the heater fan fuse.

I finally got tired of my blower motor making noise after about a year of constant noise, I went to the parts store and got the new blower motor for about 22.00 dollars , I don't know why I kept waiting , for anyone doing this it's as easy as changing your oil and a level 1 project anyone can do.
Just remove your 6 screws holding the motor and unplug the power wire and remove the unit,
Set on your bench take off the plastic fan assembly by removing the nut and take off with a screwdriver or your hands, clean and reinstall on your new motor ,then just install in the same position it was before ,replace screws and power plug, just be careful to not overtighten the small screws and you can use a nut driver for most of it.
