Left the shop after all the work for Lafayette and truck overheated big time. Air in the system or some ****. AAA’d the bastard back to the shop.
You all like naming your rides with affection and pride. Naming my truck has been difficult because nothing seems to fit. I’m close...
Corksoaker may stick.

My Mx6 turbo was named Methany. Thinking about bringing that one back but Im not running meth on anything ATM.

Grit Dog, yes it's coming along and I have been working on it almost daily ,You asked if the winch came with it and it did but was mounted different, I had seen some photos of some people on the internet where they cut the bumper out in front and had the unit behind the bumper ,so I stole there idea and moved everything behind the bumper and felt it looked better inset with the bumper, I thought it was a good idea until the police pulled me over for no license plate in front , so a easy tempory was to just shim some tubing to push the license plate in front of the cable and clear of the rollers ,that gives the illusion that there isn't a winch until you look closer and notice the cable. I will take some pictures of the motor today and interior ,I usually just post things as I am working on them and a lot of it is simple small things that anyone can do, I enjoy seeing everyone vehicles ,ideas and progress on projects.

Finished pulling the transfer case on my 85 Blazer, now I need to rebuild my transmission jack so I can pull the tranny.

Also sold a front clip I had from a Burb I parted out last summer, so freed up some space in the shop. Guess I need to clean up the shop now.

I got pulled over today for no front license plate ,with my winch mounted in the bumper it's hard to have a plate in the normal spot so I made a quick fix today to get me by ,when I get around to it I am going to make a fold down bracket that I can mount , then if I want to use the winch I just pull the license plate down and connect it , so until I can get that done I just drilled and tapped in the bumper and took some hollow tubing , cut some 1" shims for behind the license plate and enough to clear the winch and bolted my plate on , now the local police who don't have anything to do can't harass me now.

This is a thing too. Not bad for $20 and you can just pop it off when you need the winch and throw it in the cab.

Thx Bextreme that looks easier than building a bracket , I will check it out and Grit Dog, here is a couple more pics of my truck I have been working on, like I said it's a work in progress but it's getting there little by little, the original motor was locked up from sitting forever so I built another 350 with upgrades and it's definately a step up , I am going to rebuilt the tranny and transfer case soon ,I rebuilt the entire front end over the past few months got a new heater core in and condenser ,new ac parts to get it going this summer dash pad and some interior upgrades, it's got new inner fenders shocks, body mounts ,and numerous other things I have done, so I just keep plugging away and do a little at a time,

Grit Dog ,you asked for a pic of my square body here it is in the garage , it's a 1979 k10 and it's a work in progress , I pulled it out of a barn where it sat for about 10 years and wasn't running , I have been just doing little things every week, I had a later model 350 sitting and since the original motor was locked up, I took the old motor out and I dropped in my spare motor, so I had a running truck , I am working on the the AC and other systems currently and like I said it's a work in progress so far, I have done minor interior work and changed dash pad and other odds and ends, so trying to make it a dependable daily driver , I am leaving the petina finish for now. I currently just try to add things and do a little work daily even of it's only 30 minutes a day , that way it just keeps getting a little better.

Ohio finally made the front plate obsolete. It's so nice to be like most other states now, lol.
I like only needing 1, leaves the front open for my own personal plate, wich currently is a blue and yellow cali plate that says "muf dvr"

I don't mind a custom plate on a bumper that is obviously designed to hold a plate. But so many cars look terrible with a front plate tacked on.
