I looked and looked all day to try to figure out what to change. Came up with nothing. I love it just how it is. Well, other than the brake fluid leaking, antifreeze leaking, and the parking brake not working. I guess I should have been concerned with that stuff today instead of aesthetics.

Tightened the lower radiator hose clamp by the water pump, and snugged 1 water pump bolt.

Saw some drips running down the lower hose - would really prefer to not have to do the water pump again, so hopefully this gets it.

Also sprayed some engine cleaner, did some Seafoam spray in the carb, and topped off the oil.

Rough stuff, but someone has to do it.

:)

Knocked the summer grime off and put a good coat of wax on to help repel the winter crud that will be here before we know it.

Well there's the problem. You got that fancy chrome bumper on there.
Did that snowblower block your view?

I’m getting the truck all dialed in (as much as possible at least) to get ready for GoodGuys and Dino’s this weekend. I got my door panels almost put back together, painted 2 wheels and cleaned all the center caps. Still got a ways to go!!

The top is the original insert, the second came off of the panel in the picture. I bought them because they weren’t all rotten like my original ones. I’ve got the wood insert between the passenger ac vents and I didn’t want the chrome in the doors. I bought some wood grain vinyl from amazon for $8 and trimmed the chrome inserts out. I love the way it turned out!! Thanks!!

Started the full of piss and vinegar, ready to take on the world.

Attach new fan switch to AC controller. Took a while to find the little screws. Installed.

Attached orange wire from AC controller to orange on fan switch.

Turned on VENT MODE. Nothing. Will check fuse tomorrow. Need to drop the L side vent tube anyway to see fuse. STRIKE ONE.

Undaunted I moved on.

Tried to install stock AM-FM Cassette radio. L side vent tube in way. STRIKE TWO.

Tried to install new long battery bolts. Too long. STRIKE THREE.

That's it. I quit. Hope it's a better day tomorrow.

Getting back to work on my 80. I was going to put a utility body on it years ago, but really don't have a need for the utility body now days, not to mention I would have to get rid of the side tanks to get it to fit right. Pulled it back off and am going to start cleaning up the frame and installing new springs.
