I picked up my seat last week, spent a few days on the Fat Mat (that stuff takes forever!). Threw in some extra padding / heat shield (AZ summers SUCK) and carpet. After that I installed the seat! 3 days off and on installing the fat mat and it only took about 6 hours to install the carpet and seats.

Nice!

If you put some of that fatmat on the backside of the door skins (inside the door) it will really change the sound when the doors close. Just a little bit makes one heck of an improvement.

Spent a few hours in the sun ripping out the entire interior. Made a mess, but got the carpet, gaskets, headliner and door panels all taken out. Scraped the dirt and carpet remnants out and vacuumed it all out (including inside the doors). Now I just need to get the carpet kit and sound proofing purchased and installed. My seat should be back in about a week so I gotta get going on this interior!

Your truck looks clean and dry, very nice. Keep up the good work. No rust squares are so impressive.

I've got enough left to put in and on the doors, as well as the headliner area. I need to figure out what I'm doing for door panels then I'll get to work. I'm planning on installing speakers in the doors and behind the seats so as much as this stuff I can slap on any piece of metal will help tremendously. Thanks for the suggestion! @bucket

Unfortunately I do have a couple corners with rust but they're kinda small. I'm just gonna drive this thing the way she sits and enjoy it for a few years.

When you get the seat in and the interior together ,I’d like to listen the sound deadening results. Maybe meet at the Pavilions some Saturday?

I have new longer chrome lug nuts ordered to replace the stock nuts for steel rims.
Didn't think about the standard nuts being so short they would be a pain to put on
and take off.

Raining like the flood. No work today.

I do believe that is the stuff we are predicted to have in my area about 5:00 AM Wednesday. Not really looking forward to it. May be rough here for a couple hours early.

I think i like the old look better but it still looks great! Your truck is almost the same color as mine and i still cant find out why mine is the only one without the other color roof... :Frustrated:

Do you still have the black valve covers and air cleaner?

When everything is finished up I would love a chance to show it off. :D
I'm gonna cover the holes in the doors and focus on making it look good before I make it sound good. I've got to get some more funds before my wife shoots me. Haha! Too much outgoing and not enough incoming.

Oh, I know too well. I’m on a “hit” list myself. :gunner:
