What have you done to your square lately??

got the TH350 unbolted and learned that transmission fluid comes out the front, the back and the dipstick side.
put on the new flex plate with new bolts, jammed in the new output housing seal, cleaned up what I could and got the trans bolted to the engine. bolted up the first of three tc bolts and tried to spin the engine.

got the wrong @#$@($%&#$@(*#@&*($%*(@!!!!!!! flex plate bolts. stupid things are too long and effectively lock the engine. so tonight gotta undo everything I did last night and start over.

Yup, it's quite a pain to find bolts without going to a performance distributor, took me almost a week to find 3/8 size by 24 thread by 3/4 long bolts to use to mate up my flex plate and torque converter lol, hit up all the rural king and tractor supply's around to get the bolts washers and nuts since they usually only had one of each

Finally received the 22x9 gm transport steelie wheels that I ordered all the way from Canada this afternoon. It's a small step, but a step non the less for my 64 c10 build. Now I just need to get tires and mount them.

One more little project finished- the ac control panel has not been illuminated since I got Goldie.
The dash behind, and to some extent the floorboard has, though.

So, finally got off my rear , unhooked the ac duct, and reached up, found the wires and bulb, and plugged them in.

Let there be a lighted panel!

Speaking of, there is a little bulb in a housing under the dash right in the center of the hump - is there supposed to be an actual floor light courtesy light ?

It definitely needs more gear.......I guess I could pull the front shaft and drive it in low range lol. Then again that would be to low.

What ratio you have in it now??? I'd think with that torquey big block you shouldn't need to much gear. What size tires???

That and it might not be a good tire. A tire with 20% tread that's about 3 years old is safer than a 12 year old tire with 90% tread.

Congrats. A fix doesn't have to be big and expensive to make a big difference.

And yes, that is a courtesy light.

3.73 on 36s the cam doesn’t help the low end either.

Ahhh well yeah. You shoulda known better. Cammed it for all low end, but then again, that's how you break parts too. To much take off Powa breaks ****. Set for upper low end or lower mid range woulda been good. Some 4.56's would do some good, maybe even 4.88's if you're not doing alot of freeway driving.
