I'm busy making templates for new inner fenderwells since the truck sits on the frame when parked and the tires almost rub the underside of the hood.

Almost as catchy as the ill fated La Cucaracha horn. We actually had a food truck years ago that would drive into our warehouse to conduct business...lol. we finally broke down and told the driver that the horn probably deterred alot of potential customers since La Cucaracha (the cockroach for those of you who don't speak Spanish) isn't the best horn for a food truck.

It s the roach coach after all.

Let's see...

Tweaked and tweaked and tweaked and tweaked and tweaked and tweaked my tune to work right with my NV4500! DBW throttles kind of SUCK. First it was hanging the revs between shifts. Fixed it, but resulted in bucking and surging at low speeds (like I had a big cam or something). Finally found the magic combination of throttle follower, throttle cracker, and timing to make it happy all around. Friggin' runs like a raped ape!

Also worked out all my u-joint angles. Had to shim the trans up, shim the carrier bearing down, and install 1.5* shims to point the pinion down to be in line with the 1st section of my 2 piece shaft, but it's buttery smooth now!

Are you making them out of metal as opposed to the fiberglass Slosh Tubz makes them out of?

I didn't think I could contribute but I remembered that I am waiting on my Western Suspension lowering kit. I ordered it a month ago and it is supposed to ship early February. I went with the 3/5 drop to try to avoid the inner fender issues. We will see how that works when the time comes. The way I figure it the tops of the tires will be even with the wheel arches.

A friend of mine used trailer fenders and built of of them for his.
