Took it for another test drive, valves ticking are driving me nuts. Flat spot at launch sucks balls. Got up the road and the power steering began to howl, had to pull over and give it a drink. Came around a side street and noticed I'm about out of ******* gas so I had to make my way back home pronto. Still, even with all this ****, it runs a hell of a lot better than it ever did, cant wait to really get it dialed in!

When I'm adjusting the valves while engine is running, is there a specific sequence I should be doing it in?

Zero lash meaning, Back it off until it clatters. Then tighten just until clatter stops. That there is Zero Lash. Then half turn past that. Books will call for 1 full turn, but it's the old guys from way back in the day have said only half a turn and it works just fine. To tight and you're creating more cam lobe and lifter plunger wear. Nice thing about hydraulic cams, the lifers are very foregiving for a not so perfect adjustment and they will compensate.
Solid lifters MUST be done with engine off and using a feeler gauge. And you have to know which valves can be done, then rotate the motor 180 and do some more, then 180 and do some more and then 180 and do the rest. Some guys will do half, then do a 360 and do the rest.

Well, I had a bend pushrod and the lifter was falling apart. So... Gonna break it to the wife. I need a 350 for my truck.

Going to the scrap yard. I can not find any thrust washers for the spidergears in Mine NP 203 T case, going to go and see if there`s any T. cases out there that I can salvage.
CRAP, if I cant find them thrusting warshers I might either have to put it back together with the old ones and hope it holds, or 2, find Me a 205 someheres,

My tonneau cover arrived today :party33: I'll get it installed this week and I'm stoked. Hopefully the install is pretty easy. :D

Started tearing the old bed apart in anticipation of getting a new to me bed... Hella lot of bolts holding this thing together. One side almost completely off... Tomorrow is the other side and the front panel.
