wow, not very often that you see a 2wd crack there. Its usually on the 4wd trucks that are running big tires and used hard. I also noticed in your last picture that your lower A-arm bushings are totally shot, I'd look into replacing all that rubber up front.

I think it was wrecked or they hit something on that side years ago. that cross member upfront is cracked also. Yeah replacing all that is apart of the plan. I can still work on getting her crunk while i work on all that stuff.

So I'm getting closer here's an update. And what I did today. Last coat of primer before some Chassis black on these pieces. Then I can flip the cab back down and finish a few bare spots.

Before...
Bald AF tires that came on the wheels we wanted.
They were considered "junk" by the seller and we used them all the way up.

After with white letters out of course!

@Maxwellvis has verified they bark when you grab 2nd hard as well as they are super smooth at 80mph on the freeway.

Nice, I need a new set of rims/tires at least for the back on mine. The front has about 25% tread left and can probably go another year before replacement.

I forgot to say that these are the 10 ply tires as well.
Not a terrible price for them at all.
Plus I got a $70 rebate and that helped sell me on a better set of tires.

Topped off the washer fluid, the coolant overflow, :confused:checked the oil, and played some with the EFE.

The exhaust valve still works - the TVS is bad as even at full operating temperature it still is sending enough vacuum for the valve to be partially closed.

Since the intake was designed to have that heat running thru it, AND I do not know what else that TVS controls at the moment, I guess I should buy one and replace it.

Yay, emmissions controls.

I gotta admit - having a non EGR intake and no EFE blocking the valve cover and no TVS valves and associated vacuum lines would sure make for a cleaner looking engine.

Oh, I forgot - I also locked the hubs in and exercised her in 4Hi and 4Lo - just on the street, though.

Since my pretty little 4wd indicator light works now it just added to the fun.

i took the basket case on a shakedown cruise Saturday night. i found out that the manual transmission needs more oil, the brakes aren't there at all and the tires suck. it was the best 30 minute "keep the battery charged" ride of my life!

Howdy everyone! Long time no see. Been very busy with work, life. Between extreme hours and buying a house, things become quite hectic and i can't work on squares as much :(

SO anyway i was able to spend some coin and recruit my brother for some Jimmy sandblasting. Had to buy a compressor and some media. Borrowed the blasting pot off a buddy. Was able to get 3/4 the way done today. Don't know what i'd do without the man the myth

Wasn't able to work on any of my stuff today, but I did help a buddy pull the oil pan on his k35 Seirra dually with a 454.
Found out he has to pull the engine now.
Rear main seal is gone, and it broke a pushrod, it fell into the cam galley, and had been eating the cam making glitter oil. Not fun.
He was hoping it fell threw the engine and ended up in the pan, but no such luck. Oh well, crap happens.
