Got my replacement u-joints in. Spicer Life, the best U-joints money can buy! I didn't realize how trashed mine were! They still "seemed" nice and tight, but my "lag" on acceleration where the driveshaft/pinion caught up is gone, it's nice and smooth, no more vibrations, etc.

It's awesome, jah?

Picked up some epoxy primer, wax and grease remover, a respirator and goggles, and some sandpaper too, so once mine spray guns get here, I can get to work spraying the tailgate.

Started getting some stuff in. Presents from my wife for my birthday. Now I can't wait to get the glasspacks on there and for Fathers day so I can get some new plugs and wires.

Almost done, one last nut/bolt check, grease everything an tighten the control arm cross shafts an it should be good to go. I'm not real happy about how the cut springs are sitting in the lower control arm though. Looks like they could pop out but they are nice an solid up top.

Manual Steering makes you an old coot??? :shrug: I like it better. I really do. Just thinking, Why spend $50 on a PS pump when that's $50 toward the $100 reman manual steer gear box and get what I want. If it was a mostly trail ride truck, I'd for sure just go with a manual box, but thinking about bigger tires and be mostly street driven, it may not be a good idea. If I had my way, I wouldn't have power brakes either. Then I wouldn't have to worry about running a big cam either. But, that's not what this truck is about sooooo... I guess prolly going with the ***** Pump instead of Manual gear box.

get a filter that fits a diesel 6.2,same base size,, but 4 inches tall..

money wise? 5-6 bucks,, mega flow for air.........

No, manual steering doesn't make you an old coot. But, being and old coot such as yourself (hehe), you may find you no longer have the brute force to steer a truck with manual steering.

A couple of weeks ago I pulled my 78 out of the weeds. I took the KC's off the front bumper since they had decided they didn't want to work anymore. Then I drove it for a bit, and pulled back into the yard. I popped the hood to see if I could find the power steering leak, and I counted 1...2....3....4 total leaks. Hmmm. I shut the hood and then moved some junk around in my shop so that I could get it back inside where it belongs. Now I'm itching to drive it again, but I just had surgery on my wrist Friday so I don't have much use in that hand. I told my wife that by the time she gets home from work tomorrow I'll have figured out how to drive it one handed. That really didn't go over too well lol.

compared to the stock air tank breathing through a straw that 3 inch is mega air flow. although in real surprised how low this sits compared to the stock one if someone had hood clearance problems i would highly recommend this particular model pro-flo 1207.

Thank you, $10 at the wrench a part in del valle, there were some other grant wheels there but I liked this one. It was installed on a late 80's or early 90's chevy suburban "starcraft high luxe"(I think that's what it's called). It had the install it with it luckily, so Install was pretty easy.

Put new window glass in the passenger door (coworker shut door too hard and glass shattered), put blower motor in, and installed different steering wheel (aftermarket type, has bow tie horn button though), all parts from the junkyard. The window wasn't as hard as we expected, the vent window was most difficult to put back in, everything else was pretty easy. And did the front brakes last night (rotors, seals, pads)

1991-94 Lumina wheel.
