Hello everyone, thanks for adding me into the forum. I had many SB’s over the years with SBC’s but my 82 GMC c30 single wheel is my first with a 454. I have acquired a wrist pin knock and I’ll run it until I can’t. But I’m the mean time a have a nice 350 on the stand being resealed and would really like to use all my factory 454 accessories on the 350. Stock everything including the AC compressor on the drivers side. I really do not want to open the ac system up for this swap. Having a hard time finding any info on stock ac driver side brackets for a 350. On this truck I also have hydro boost setup and remote resolve for the power steering pump. Is there a bracket package or a year model I need to look for to pick and pull or search for ? Any help would greatly appreciated.

Future for this truck is a Dana 60 and 205 t-case sitting in the shop. It’s a must do, my daughter is in love with this truck and that was her request.

Welcome from Austria.
Some components are the same but you need the right brackets for the 350. New water pump. New exhaust pipes and manifolds/headers to the rest of exhaust system. That's what comes to my mind quickly.

Go to the Rockauto page, select your truck year with the sbc engine and in a second browser window the bbc. Than you can easily find out which parts match.

Welcome from Central NC. Does your big iron have the radial or axial compressor on it? The radial is the smaller pancake style and axial is the longer and was used on BBC trucks right on through the late eighties on most.

You will need most brackets. Do to the size and with of the two blocks. Alt brackets BB and SB two different sizes. IIRC the power steering lower brackets are the same, the upper adjusting bracket is different. Like mentioned earlier the A/C brackets are way different, and depends on what compressor you are using.

Yes and no. Always double check as rockauto has a tendency to mix **** up and offer stuff for newer trucks or different sizes. I had some issues with both my bullnose fords.

And Welcome of course! Tried to start with that, and then quote, but doing it on the phone is too much for me, so sorry for that :angry94:
