The rest of the back brakes parts came today. Only bad news is the new drums don't fit. I'm not too worried about it because I don't really need them. Just needed the shoes and cylinder push rods. Oh the adjusters too. One was all rusted up and wouldn't turn.

It's impossible to find the push rods. I'm gonna make a drawing of them so if I want I can make some. I searched and searched for them and the ones I got from Napa are to short.

Anybody need a set of new 6 lug drums? Lol

Where did they come from ? ( What store ? ) And ,what width ?

Do they have the knock out plugs ? My Chinesium junk did not ...

So, perhaps ...

Got the truck running again. Pump sees 13.2v while running. 10.8 with the key on. Not sure why. I’m gonna run a separate power wire/relay down the frame to near the tank and trigger it off the PSI wiring. Pump also quit on me after it had run for about 10min, whacked the tank with a hammer and it worked again. So I need a pump I guess.

Been really busy between school and work so haven't really done much with projects, but did finally get around to doing something I have wanted for longer than I have had my 76, the Dual Snorkel air cleaner with two factory snorkels. Thanks to @bucket for trading and getting me some donor snorkels.

Then as figures the next day my alternator decided to call it quits and spit what was left of the brushes out the back, so had to steal the junkyard 12si I had on the 79 for it.

If it's never had ethonol maybe it knocked some crud loose and it's in the jets? But irun e10 fuel as I'm sure most do and don't have issues...knock on wood. It could be coincidence
Honestly I think it’s coincidence. No more.
Ethanol will slowly eat old rubber.
Ethanol will absorb moisture (like HEET, it’s actually good if you have water in fuel).
Gasoline with ethanol will degrade faster than pure gas, mostly the moisture thing I think, but you can smell the difference.
E10 will not knock loose crud or otherwise contaminate the fuel system.

None of these things affect day to day operation or running quality, with E 10. E 85 is a different story. As the overall combustion speed is a lot different.

JMO. Good luck figuring it out.

Drove it to work today, just like every day. But this time when I parked it I found my passenger floor board covered in coolant :Stupid Me:

Looks like I'll be putting in a new heater core in this weekend.

Finally finished the interior of my 1977 K10. New seat cover, new gauges and dash bezel, and best of all a new steering wheel to replace the original which was constantly sticky no matter how often I cleaned it!

That looks fantastic! It's hard to beat a nice clean red interior, imho.

Alcohol is a cleaner, so it can in theory clean some crud out of places. Do I think this happened really no. I'm with you on coincidence

Rebuilt the old reliable Remy Delco alternator. Was really dirty before, but it happens lol. Sadly didn’t even think to take some pics while I had it open. Brushes were shot in it. Did pretty good for being on there 10 years. Edit: Tgis is my first alternator I’ve rebuilt so hopefully I did everything correct lol.

I picked up my new QA1 lowered coilover 4 link kit for the rear this morning! Front coilover with drop spindles, uppers and lowers will be here in a couple weeks. Can’t wait to get her dropped down with some killer suspension! Next project will be wheels and tires!
