But, I've had a flex fan that *** equally spaced and sounded fine.
The flex fan I had sounded like a turbine and the truck was about to take off. I pulled it , sold it and went back to the clutch fan setup so it won't Rob what little power I have while driving over 30 mph.

Since you mention it, it's very rare that I can distinctly hear the fan in my truck. Granted, that noise and vibration factory under the hood may have something to do with that. All that being considered, I don't need anything to contribute more noise either.

But the times I do remember distinctly hearing it have been when the alternator belt broke and wrapped itself around the fan clutch and locked the fan to the shaft. You could sure hear that.

Maybe there's something up with your fan clutch?
Thanks for mentioning that. I'll have to check it out. Any advise for testing good/bad? Much appreciated. Side note: mine was new 2 years ago.

I hear it badly on my '90 GMT 400. That thing whirs like crazy going down the road at speed. I chock it up to short tires, 3.73's and no overdrive.
Fan clutch could be locked up. On my old ranger the clutch locked up and it would roar loud like it was going to take off.

It actually seems to be working properly. It's just the large big block fan and a decent amount of rpm. Electric fans are on the agenda.

I am also looking into getting electric fans. Can't decide if I want one big fan or two smaller fans. Any thoughts?

If it's only two years old it's unlikely that it's bad. I usually check that I can turn it by hand when the engine is off, no leaking fluids and that it doesn't wobble. Maybe if it's hot and idling you'll hear it engage.

Maybe like bucket your problem is just high RPM and a Big @$$ Fan.

For what it's worth, the late model trucks use dual fans. With a combination of 3 relays, can actually switch the fan speeds depending on demand.

New drag link. Make old truck drive like new one! (sorta)
Best part was old one popped off with (relatively) little effort.
Napa had the parts in stock AND I was surprised how reasonably priced. Less than $50 for 2 new end links and got to re-use the adjuster!

Changed out the KC light covers for something different. This’ll allow me to turn the lights on without taking the covers off first. The red covers are a hard to find item anyway and I don’t want them to blow off driving down the road. New covers fit good (snap on), turned on the lights and one didn’t work. It came on after jiggling the wires, so I guess I’ll fix that tomorrow.

I have been tossing up getting a few KCs. Presently I have 2 sets of led recess square pods. I would have to cut my front bumper to install them so I am tossing up if I will use them or bench them and buy round.

ive had the 6” rounds on a few of my Squarebodys and they’ve always worked out well and I like the period look. Only problem I had was a clearance issue With the garage door when I had them on a roll bar and the chrome always needed polishing to keep the rust from creeping in. I did notice they have black painted ones now that look nice and require no polishing.
