If no SN don't use it for gasoline motor.

Interesting - tell me more ! I have heard of lots of people using diesel oil in gasoline engines like ours, and figured I would try it. The PO apparently used Havoline ( done at Texaco, so assuming ) 15W40.

If I need to drain it, then I guess I dump some seafoam in and go back to Wally :banana-mario:World !!

It seams that oils are becoming year dependent. Gone are the days of it's just oil.

Oil has been application dependent for decades now. While you could probably get away with more back then, you could still ruin an engine by using the wrong oil.

I like 10w30 dinosaur oil. Too much viscosity spread isn’t supposed to be great either(5w-30, 10w-40, etc).

Whatever is cheap at Walmart with 3000 mile OCI according to people who are into all the tests etc over at BITOG

Some diesel oils have the SN rating on them as well. You can check the seal on the back. I know a lot of guys like using the diesel oil on older gas motors, but it is still dependent on the SN rating.

Kind of funny, actually .

It was a rather beautiful day out today. High of 81! Decided to see if my old bottle of Turtle Wax Color Back that I found in my garage (quite possibly from 2006 or so when I used this last) still works.

Of course as soon as I started, it started raining. I clayed half the hood, but still didn't get to polish.

I did go ahead and clay the windshield since I got rained out. By clay, I mean Clay Bar 2.0. A coat of wax needs to follow on the windshield as well.

Have never Clay barred a windshield, but wax em - sure !

Usually I just wipe em down real good with the buffing rag I used for the wax - poor man's rainX.
