I'll update my thread, too. But that would be great! Hopefully it will help someone.

I've already got it done @KilgoreTrout . Just copied some posts from this thread, added a little to the title and now we have a good thread that can be found in search and will help others I'm sure with those pics. Thanks again for the update and pics. :waytogo:

My truck is a stripper. Is it weird that I have nothing hooked up at that ground bus?

@HotRodPC
I guess that makes sense. Strippers are never grounded like the rest. Many times they've had a rough life.

Iirc, my '78 Burb only has one factory wire on the ground buss, likely for the power tailgate window. I don't recall about the others.

Ripped the mirror mounts out of the driver door backing into my too tight parking spot.

Edit: this isn't just a positive thread right?

All that matters is it's still where you left it, lol.

Good excuse to buy another one (or better yet another set). Then clean that one up with vinegar (if that really works) or naval jelly. Can never have too many.

I've tried the vinegar before, it has worked decent, but far from ideal(imo). I've had luck with heated pine sol both on cleaning carburators and I soaked a Farmall 300 generator and it took all of the rust and paint off. This Rochester I disassembled and soaked it overnight and it came out beautiful. The cast iron throttle body was rusted and had grime on it, but with some scrubbing and a rinse with carb cleaner it looked like new.
