I've recently welded new cab corners on my 86 K10-I spent a lot of time carefully trimming it to look like a factory panel-all aftermarket ones are made to overlap and I wanted to butt-weld it to keep the filler minimal and to maintain straight edges at the rocker and on the rear lower cab edge. Even on a simple weld repair you should take your time and realize even the best replacement panels require modding before, during and sometimes after install.

Well found out that I need to use the correct clutch and pressure plate for my trans. Which means I get to change the flywheel and brand new starter too. So I guess I'll just pull the motor again. Glad I beat myself to death in the evenings this past week just to do it all over again.... :(

That really sux sweaty stinky ass.

I've gotten in my door window weatherstripping kit and fuel filler hose today, so tomorrow we'll try to get it all taken care of. Temperature is forecast to be 104* so we'll see.

I replaced passenger door lock yesterday. Key things to remember: remove cross brace and unbolt the window track brace. Makes getting the clip on much easier!

Sunday, I will be installing a new turn signal switch.

Like it! Links? If anything put an LED aiming down for when you drop a shell or something when loading up for hunting.

I found them on ebay..there are all types of logos and some vendors offer to make custom projections as well. I paid something like $14 for the pair. I am very pleased with them.

Well all my parts came in yesterday so time to get started on it again today.

At least I got one thing accomplished yesterday. Had to take a road trip to Bristol for it but I think it was worth it. 03 model with 91k miles. Her old one was an 02 with 204k, we got it in 2012 with 98k on it then.

Ya it seems to be so far. I went to change the cabin filter this morning and apparently that stopped in 02. I have pretty much new filters I was going to use from it but this one doesn't even have to door for them....

From what I remember, the cabin filter was optional. My '99 Z71 had one and so does my '00 Burb, but I don't think my friend's '02 pickup does.

If you are parting out your wrecked Burb, I'd be interested in a couple smaller pieces if you have them available.

Havnt used it yet but that body pannel glue supposed to be fairly easy and alot better in the long run since you dont melt the paint off behind the weld less chance of rusting out again
