Got the headliner out, refinished and back up in the r20. Second one of these I've done, and I forgot what a pain these things can be when holes won't line up.

Just got mine so been in a spending spree

Traded and got a k5 that the steering and suspension was about wore out. Replaced wheel bearings and both locking hubs. Developed a steering prob and discovered my front end and rear end were loose and sliding back and forward on the springs so had to fix that. Also had to replace one of the drag linc ends. And today did a complete tune up (plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor button, air filter and oil change). The wife loves the truck but not happy about the money I'm spending on it to get it right. Taking it hunting this weekend so hopefully everything I've done to it sticks.

Question:
After a longer drive
50miles or so
Front end seems stiff on initial take off
Almost as though I'm on the brakes a bit
Suggestions?
Thoughts?

Ordered the (expensive ass) wiring harness for my LS swap in the crewcab.

Now I just have to wait 6-8 weeks to get it... patience is not my strong suit.

Nice!!! That's a big item off the 'need' list :)

Yeah, I had been putting it off debating whether I wanted to do it on my own (I did my own TBI harness). The LSx is a lot more complicated, and wiring is probably the single hardest thing to troubleshoot, so I opted to let a pro handle it this time around. I may try to tackle it on the Caprice when I get around to swapping it down the road. The guy I'm having do my harness also offers a "partial" kit with a fuse block setup for an LS swap that you can tie into a factory LSx harness. I may try that out for the Caprice.
