I'd do it too if I had one. I'd rather just have a SLOW looking OE hood. Funny thing is, mine has a small dent about exactly where you pulled that one from in yours.

If you were closer I would give you an OE hood for that year. I have two just taking up space.

I believe I have the Power Steering pump burped now. With a good working PS pump, and the Jip Shaft retrofit, steering is much nicer. Now someday, I need to pull the column apart and fix that ever so common loose assembly. Pull it Apart, and Blue Loctite those bolts.

73-79 hoods are different than 81-87 :waytogo: But you could make that 85 looks REALLY good and get a round headlight clip and make the hood fit!! :party33:
:D

Yea I know the hoods are different. I have 2 of the 81-87 hoods collecting dust.

I didn't realize he was working round eye, I thought it was an 86. What I get for skimming and not waiting for pics to fully load.

What it looks like now. Hopefully when the weather turns cold I'll go back to working on it.

Looks like a good one before you started. That's one of the big reasons I buy the junk I do. I just can't go tearing apart a good looking, running truck and turn it into a project.

It had a hard life, it was used by a lawn service plus the engine was blown.

I don't know about y'all, but I just got my package in from LMC... Time to yank the cluster on the ol' girl and replace the circuitry. My gauges keep doing flaky things and I have reason to believe it's the old one delaminating and having the traces bounce off each other.

Also got new door hinge springs that I'll try and put in this weekend as well.
