Just be careful. My 96 Yukon I had for a while had one of those and it got stuck on and drained my battery.

Well, don't leave it on :insane:

Got a little work done on my interior. Got the new Idit steering column, seat belts and seat fitted. Got to build new mounting brackets for the female end of the seat belts. With this seat they need to be moved about two inches to the center of the cab to work correctly.

Idit column was a bolt in deal no fab work at all. With this column you loose the locking steering wheel feature of OEM. The ignition switch is no longer on the lower column like OEM. It is made in the column and uses a set of relays to operate. The relays, wire harness and connectors come with the column. Just remove the wires from your OEM switch harness and use the supplied connectors to connect. Turning the key takes a little getting use to because it does not have the resistance of OEM. It takes one finger on the switch to start the truck.

Bought a 79 SWB a few weeks ago for my son and we are restoring it.

The last 2 weekends we have--- replaced all shocks, upper/lower radiator hoses, steering coupler, gear box, pitman arm, rear differential seal, changed the oil and put some 40 series flow masters on it.

@robert8096 Looking at those recent pics it looks like you've got really nice footwell lighting in the cab. Is that OEM lighting or did you do something a little better? I'm looking at options to improve the footwell lighting in my '87 and curious to know what you did there.

Just two stock bulbs and sockets mounted as close as possible towards the doors. I did add a American Autowire light fader to the system but I don't think that has anything to do with the brightness:

Oh ok....so if I got the courtesy light kit from LMC (link below) and just mounted them closer to the wheel wells it'd yield similar results? Just the one in the center isn't good enough for me

New Smittybilt seats. Low backs meant to go in a CJ5/CJ7. Got a pair of buckets for $99 a piece. Going to replace my completely FUBAR'd bench and build a plate steel center console.
