Well, I didn't do it, but someone stole the radio out of the crewcab. Jokes on them, it's an old JVC radio only head unit, lol.

They got in through the door missing the lock knob/rod, so it couldn't be locked. At least they didn't break a window or anything.

 some POS thief obviously doesn't even have a clue what they are looking for and got a paper weight for his/her efforts :roflbow: The good news is you were driving the crew cab! How is it coming along for it being DD worthy?

It's semi-sorta driveable-ish, in a not-so-driveable kind of way. :p

Still can't get the TBI 350 to cooperate, really. Should have my 6.0L/4L80E purchased here in a month or two and then it's just picking up all the assorted goodies to get it in the truck. I'm stoked to FINALLY be actually doing an LS swap. Seems like every time I had one planned, something came up that put it on the back burner. This time better be different, lol!

Yeah, I'll be paying really close attention to that when you start getting that under way! I can't wait to see what you go and the parts list. I hope to learn a few things for when I do it for my burb.

Sure thing, I've got a nice big spreadsheet of all the things needed so far. I'll likely break that down into sub-sections and do a nice guide on it or something.

There are people that will steal it just to sell to their homeless buddies. They have a network of thievery where they take stuff like that. Most of it is menial, but they still do it. A**holes...

I went to take some last night and my phone died. Will take some at lunch.

Sent from an old rotary telephone.

As 350runner said. If it's not making any noise and ... Being that axle may not have even been taken apart or oil changed, up to 2 tablespoons of wear is probably not abnormal. I'd be happier with a heavy teaspoon, but you have to expect some on an axle over 25 years old.

Good to know. Got it all cleaned up, sealed up, and filled up. Now on to those PITA wheel bearings and I'm good to go. Still waiting on you to bring your truck down. Still haven't packed anything in the second bay in case you show up lol.

After much rivet grinding and cutting the heads off of bolts I almost have one shackle re-installed.

Its crazy how much difference a shackle flip makes for lifting up a truck. Really need to get shocks now haha.

Picked up a set of Hedman #69090 headers. These have been collecting dust for a VERY long time as there is a sweepstakes to money that expired in 1999! $80 and came with the collectors

Why wouldn't it?
It's nut under high pressure and it's rarely off-road anymore,

I believe it has to do with the grain of the cast aluminum doesn't take well to welding. It usually just cracks again in short order.

And actually the transfer case, CASE, experiences a tremendous amount of torque. Thus the torque bar on the passenger side!

The torque bar hasn't been on in forever, i got it and it wasn't bolted at the other end
So what's a cheap way to repair it to just drive for a couple months or so I need to find a case someone doesn't want and replace the cover
