Today I replaced the sway bar bushings and steering damper on the 84 K10.

If I have any ambition left, I might tackle the quadrajet rebuild on the 83 C20.

Then find out why the Edelbrock 1405 on the 84 leaks gas out of the bowl if it sits a couple days.

Picked up a lot of my parts that my buddy powder coated for me. All the leaf springs and shackles, all the brackets for the leaf springs that were riveted to the frame. I also had him do my 14 boat FF hubs, diff cover and drive shaft. Tomorrow he will powder coat my 14 bolt FF housing...I also installed all my new leaf spring bushings and hardware...woot woot!

No doubt. Been way to long. How did you know about the farts? Every damn time I pushed that ratchet to get one of those bed nuts started to come off, I damn near **** my pants. I was starting to get where I couldn't trust'em after the 4th bolt. Just checked, no skids, all is well. No need to turn'em inside out just yet. :poop:

Got my steering column, steering wheel and some bling installed. Don't know what I was thinking but cut the sides off my cowl hood so I could close up the hood gap. Got one side almost welded up but run out of shielding gas.

I got a set of rusty long tube headmans the other day for free. There are a couple of small pinholes in them. Cant decide if I want to fix the holes and paint them or just scrap them and buy a new set.

I got 99 problems but a .. Well damn. This whole journey started with simply wondering if I had a 305 or a 350. Tonight I started to yank the cam (which was in surprisingly good shape). and look at the timing gears and chain.

Upon pulling the cover off I could almost slip the timing chain off the gears!!!! So I pulled the upper gear and this is what I found...

To be honest I'm not sure how the truck was even MOVING!

So now.. it'll be new lifters, push rods, cam, and a timing gear and chain set.
