Finally got to drive it again after replacing the cam. Now I can put it to work. I have some projects at home that have been waiting for the truck to get fixed.

Desludged the front of the block on my truck. Cleaned up the one cross member.

Looking online I now have to double check if I have the short fuel pump bolt because I don't recall see it. Also don't recall seeing the fuel pump back plate.

Will be getting some stuff to clean the top of the blocks to put the 993 heads on.

Isn't it just a fun time desludging the grime? OY!

Yeah its even more fun since the engine is in the truck but I have a few scrub brushes and a pan of solvent and just give'er.

I wasn't able to get the sides too well but the front is a whole lot better and lets me see what I'm working on lol.

Installed a Uniden pc68xl

That looks like a really nice cb. It has good reviews. I have contemplated adding cb's to my vehicles.

Got lots done over the weekend.

-Finally installed the passenger's towing mirror.
-Re-aligned the dash so its sitting correctly again.
-Got the rear power windows working (thanks in a big way to chengny!!!)
-Prepped the brushed stainless trim pieces for the passenger side doors - just gotta stick 'em on
-Prepped and painted the inner roof - should be ready for insulation at this point
-Adjusted all of the door handles so they sit flush with the trim pieces - I always thought they looked kind-of goofy sticking so far into the door!

All in all it was a productive Saturday!

Oh and I put together a deal to trade my old 2-bolt BBC for a PAIR of J-code 6.2s. Should be making the trade tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

Yeah, in the vehicle makes it even worse, but the engine seems to like it when it gets cleaned.

I was wrong it is the pc68 LTW. It is still a nice CB I had a pc68 elite in my old tacoma. It is really handy on the trail and on road trips. I've had CBs in my vehicles since my 1st car. It is something that I've gotten used to and like to have.

Cleaned up my under hood electrical connections and found that the PO had installed a fuse with 2 crimps in line on the power feed to the fuse box that feeds my interior lights and head lights. I pulled on it to see what it was and it fell off LOL.

Changed it out for a solid piece of wire with 2 heat shrink connectors and HOLY COW! I got some seriously bright lights again lol.

I also noticed that my flashers flash faster too.

I cleaned up all my grounds and ran a ground wire from the firewall over to the battery ground on the alternator pad and that doubled the speed of my electric windows.

Just gotta crawl under and clean up my starter connections now.

Its amazing how the simple things can put a smile on my face:)
