I’m sure huck will reply but afaik, new inner fenders are the whole inner fender so yes it would replace the spot there that is rusted.
That said, seems like far more work than it’s worth to replace the inner fender for a little hole like that. IMO. Unless you’re looking for showroom quality fender wells!
I had a little damage and a similar tiny rust hole on the blue truck.
A little cutting, little patch piece, little booger weld and a little grinding before hitting with a couple coats of fresh chassis black did the trick.
Yes it took a couple 3 hours probably but far easier than disassembly.
JMO.
Of course I was on a schedule when doing the blue truck. Not a nut n bolt resto like @Doppleganger , @CalSgt or @hoagster.

Sold my old daily driver yesterday, had two new tires before it blew up, same size as the 79. Before I let it go I got my tires off, swapped em on the front of the 79. The ones that were on there were temp fixes my grandpa had put on. Finally got around to it. Tire shop didn't put white walls out, oh well. I'll change em sometime in the near future. Sitting much more proud on not bald tires.

This is temporary until the 2 inch lift and 33x10.50's.

Added a “350” emblem to the grill on my ‘77. Been doin lots of other little things to this truck-new chrome window moldings, foil grill bow tie, a like new set of hubcaps, Holley bed mat, hood liner and hood braces…

And took it on a dump run.

And removed the headliner material….was expecting it was is some sort of board that the fabric was attached to, but it is like 1/2 “ thick insulation that appears to be glued to the roof?
Is that accurate, anyone with a 70s headliner?
Was hoping to not make a total mess of removing it!

@Grit dog you are correct that piece is just a reinforcement for the bolt that attaches the tub to the frame and its not removable. It does come on the new ones from AMD. That question has been asked several times and I know in the past I posted a picture of a OEM tub and a Replacement tub. post #13,387 June 9, 2021

Here's our '79 purchased from the original owner's brother. It seems to be a rather thick foam compared to the 80's. When I poke at it, it feels like there's the typical backer board up there.

Buffed out the passenger side. Came out pretty good. Still got the back of the cab and roof to do. Then coat it with some wax with the da and should be good for now.
