You don't need to worry about holes in your radiator hose lol, I was in a pinch and used that permatex rubber tape on a old beater mustang I had drove it like that for probably 6months then sold it was still on there lol

Last Saturday I drove mine 140 miles (round trip) to a square body cruise in / swap meet. Had a great time, saw lots of nice trucks and I’m proud to say the Blazer was flawless all day.

When you can, where you can I guess, Flipped the hood today, I’d say maybe 10-15lbs heavier than the original stock after modifying and body filler, getting ready to finish this back side and move onto the cowling. Has anyone had good or bad luck with the 3m flexible foam, did it last? Has it lasted, anything to watch out for any preparation requirements or is good overall and just need some wax and grease remover…

That looks great! How’d it go? And what seat cover brand did you use? That’s on my list of things to do.
It wasn't too bad... the bottom was a little tight but eventually (with patience) i was able to get it to fit. This was a cover from LMC...part # 38-2291-LL. i did make a trip to JoAnn Fabrics to get some extra material to wrap the base frame and fill the back of the topside. I'm just waiting to install and get it out in the sun to heat up the material and iron out some of the wrinkles.

This was my first time and it took about 3 hours. I did take my time and didn't force the cover. I had to make some modifications along the way. This particular cover from LMC had a j-channel on the front and back, so there weren't as many hog rings as the original seat cover.

Got old blue out for a drive. Looks like the steering box might need to break in a bit, doesn’t quite return to center on its own and feels stiffer. I double checked that the box was centered and it is, and the only think I changed was the steering box, so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see how it goes. Nice to be out in the sun though. The mid 50s never felt so good!

If it drove fine before, you're probably right. But just an FYI, that's exactly what my truck was doing before the balljoint failed. It got bad enough I had to physically steer the truck back the other way rather than it doing it on it's own. The ball sawed the cup hard enough it finally pulled in two leaving be dead on the floor. This was just 2 days after our Dino's trip across the country, thankfully it didn't happen running 90 across I40. I knew something was wrong but everything appeared fine on my pre-trip inspection. I unhooked all the steering and it all moved freely, including the spindles. But over that 4800mi, it got much worse.
