 Now you know why you see those trucks with those stupid ass looking snorkels. .:happy175:

Snow plow trucks, when working for the DOT. Air cleaners with an open side, or the snorkel hanging off the cleaner assembly, We would turn those to the firewall to keep them from sucking in so much moisture.
Did`nt twist any rods but that was`nt saying it could`nt have happened.

Yea im sure you guys would have been fine lol. Theres a difference between moisture and a wall of water coming through your intake lol.

To put this into perspective: I took the air cleaner off and could literally dip water out of the intake. I have no idea how that much water got in there. I guess them 6.2 air cleaners arnt exactly water tight...

Got the 6.2 out! I swear, this motor had more wires on it than the Powerstroke did...

Put a new alternator on it and also a new battery. The old battery is still good im going to use it to do a dual battery setup.

That's usually not advisable to use 2 different battery ages and ratings. For sure be certain to use a battery isolater. Chances are your new battery will only be as strong as your old battery. I know people do it, but it's advised not to.

Put pieces of the 87' in the backyard (the frame, to be exact), so I can pull the 84' into the garage to swap the transmission. Built a "transmission" jack. Bolted a 2x12 about 1.5' long onto my jack, so I have something to support the transmission and can use a ratchet strap to hold it in place.

Got the hood primed and blocked and ready to go back on the truck. Took a few shots of the kids in the driveway. Next project is to pull the engine and trans from the white truck to detail the engine, engine bay, cab floor, replace all the cab and radiator support mounts and replace the transmission that I blew up raising hell with the old truck. Also ordered all new bling for the front end of the garage queen.

Awesome, I think I'm going to have to trim on the lca some though. Getting some rubbing on tight turns.
