Can anyone tell me the approximate weight of a turbo 400 and 208 transfer case? just a close estimate would be good enough.. Thank you.

The NP208 is 75/80 (LD/HD) lbs dry.

So if a Th400 is 135 lbs, it's only a guess but I'm going to suggest 40lbs for an NP208 and add a few more for the cast iron adapter. Not sure what you're figuring for, but it should be well under 200lbs for the combo. Maybe real close to 200lbs if you figure the torque converter and units full of fluids.

Shipping weight, or working weight?

Working weight is as follows:

Go ahead and lift that 208 out from under the truck while you're on your back.

The 400 though, you really should stick a jack under that to get it out from under the truck. It just makes good sense. Nobody likes a squashed melon.
