Water Separator / Oil Traps in Air Compressor Lines

Installing an after-cooler and will need to add a water separator and an oil trap for painting. What brands and styles are you using and how do you like them? Only 2 types I see....BIG $$$$$$ or low rated....and some of the big $ ones aren't rated that great either.

Not being a Di#k and am not good with the search function my self. I use a coil of copper tubing in a bucket of ice water,to separate water. But last time this same thing was brought up other people chipped in,I just can't remember the details.

The aftercooler takes care of about 95% of the water - but with painting, I'd prefer a touch of overkill...however the $2000 industrial AC setups are out of the question.

Thinking about this style of filter....they would work with the room and setup I have. Just unsure of brands and such. Some chicom junk is better than others.

Stay away from Sharpe. Bought one last year the needle fell off the gauge before I could get it mounted.

I can't justify the cost for the amount of painting I do, plus I'm a cheapass.
I use a Moto Guard M-60 and it has worked well so far.

keep looking here for the water seperator. Someone had an elaborate one, wanna say the system was 3' wide and about 4-5' tall with 3 vertical lines ran in parralell. Said they loved it, and it didn't cost much.
