Vortec vs Swirl Port spark Plug Location

Having read that the spark plugs on Vortec heads are offset towards the exhaust ports causing problems with some headers, I looked at the 193 heads on currently on the engine.
The plugs are likewise offset towards the exhaust ports.
I loosely test fit the headers to see if three was going to be a problem (as the Hedman tech stated) but really see no clearance issues.

Is the spark plug placement on a Vortec head any different from that of the 193 swirl port head??

I didnt compare them but when I did the swap with manifolds I had to buy a manifold spreader tool to get them installed.

I'm gonna be using Hedman long tubes...
