Hi ya’ll. I have a 1979 Chevy K10. This was a genuine barn find truck, one owner. Back then it looks like the owner had put a bunch of cool aftermarket trim on the truck. I had two of these four louvered gas door covers. One blew off on my way to work a couple weeks ago and I’ve been searching the earth for another set of them. If anyone knows where or is sitting on a set, I’d love to buy them. I called everyone and no one makes them…here’s what theylook like. They roughly measure around 6.5inches on one side and 6.25 on the other. Fits the old gas doors in the chevys perfect. Any help would be great! Thank you

Thanks Goldie! Glad I could join the community of Square Body’s. Love these trucks. I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for one of those damn things. If you ever stumble across anything let me know Amigo!

Nice truck! I've never run across those before, they may have been custom made back in the day. You could probably talk to a hotrod shop about making ya a new one.

Thanks man! I love my Truck. Real Barn find, roadkill special. Made for Farming, Not getting lattes! Yeah, I’ve seen a few of the old style headlight covers NOS pop up with the louvers on it. I might just have to make a die and just press my own. They just look so bitchin

Maybe have a sheet metal shop make them? I used to have a 65 Suburban and the body to bumper seal on the rear was originally a fiber material. No one repopped them so I took a sample to my local HVAC shop, told them what I needed and they made me one out of stainless, then I painted it to match the truck. Take the fuel door to them and show them the pics and they should be able to make one.
