Still havent gotten to drive the thing yet, ive been temporarily driving another vehicle , and with work and my current situation, its hard to make time, and i havent wanted to take another gamble and have it fall apart on me while going to my destination.

...but ive been revving it up and letting it run here for 10 minutes,
No tach bouncing, no misfiring, and no breaking up at 3000 , no matter the throttle position. Also it goes beyond 4500 which is interesting. I recall once upon a time it kinda fell on its ass at 4500. Not that it makes much power there.

This DEFINITELY made a change of the trucks.operatiom because everything ive done thus far showed me i was fixing the WRONG thing after the truck had ran for 5 minutes. It'd go back to jumping around, stalling, misfiring, bouncing the tach, etc

Let this be a lesson for all future TBI readers, a functional ICM isnt a good ICM !!!

read what i wrote above about the distributor magnets and using a timing light , it might show you saomething about your issue. also read about the IAC counts.

By the way i wasnt ignoring you but 2 pages ago i had the timing light out, i also performed a IAC reset , and also just replaced and reset the IAC

That was one of the things i tried before i ever posted on the forum searching for help.

so when you do a throttle blip test where you jab the throttle quickly numerous times, the counts will be back where they were before that?

Final update, hopefully for a while.

I took it on a drive and beat on it some, got it hot.
Not even the slightest hint of issues

Nice!

I wish I would have been more adamant about it before. But it was just a hunch about the ignition module... I didn't want to pester you about it and have it change nothing, lol.
