Does anyone have a 3" tuff country lift with all springs (no blocks)?
I think my k5 has a 3" lift based on the height of the rear blocks.
I want to go all spring but want it to be level.
Right now it has a slight rake, back is lower but this could be due to worn out rear springs.

Running 33" tires

Pics would be great too.

Thanks.

To give you some comparison measurements for for you. My '79 K10 had 4" Tuff Country EZ rides in front. The measurement from the axle centerlines to the main horizontal body line was 32" (front and rear). I had a 4" block with stock 5/1 rear springs.

Your 3" measurement should be about 31".

Just measured. Fronts are both 31.5" with right rear at 31" and left rear at 30"
Definitely have a bad or broken leaf there.
I may also have HD front springs to make it higher, not sure.

Are you on 35" or 33" tires?

The '79 had 33x12.50x16.5's (32.8' tall). The wheels were 16.5 x 9.75 with 4.75" BS.

My K30 has Tuff Country 3" HD's in front (it has a 454). I won't use it as comparison due to the taller frame. The HD springs (below) have the 4th leaf at the bottom of the pack. My EZ Rides in the '79 did not.

Good info on the HD's. I only have 3 leaves. My LS swap 6.0 is actually lighter than a sbc 350. Could be where the .5" comes from.
If I have 31.5" in the front I may go with 4" springs in the rear if it ends up at 32"
The extra weight of the topper and the 31 gallon tank in the rear probably has more sag than a pickup box.

Subscribing.

I was looking at SDsprings and they have the 3 inch on sale. Was thinking on my 79 jimmy do that with the 88+ front shackle kit. Would be 3-1/4 inch.

Maybe too big for 33’s?

On the rear I was thinking stock replacements and a shackle flip to save a few bucks but maybe just easier to do the lift springs.

That sits great, little high in the back for a K5/Jimmy but really looks good.

I guess I shouldn’t d be too scared of 33s and a 3 inch lift...

I have 33s now and a 3 inch lift. I think it looks good. Not too much space and enough room for clearance. 4 inch would probably be too much with 33s.

Most of the sites I've seen only change the steering with 4 inch or greater lift kit. Usually a drop pitman arm or drag link.

Just remember the K5 top will add a little extra weight in the rear. Approximately 250 lbs.

My 87 V10 4x4 sits 3/4” lower in the back and my Jimmy 1/2”. Is that normal?

I have been doing math off that some.

Gonna start measuring from the hub center to fender well... make sure I dont buy the wrong crap.
